D&D 3.0 Core books worth keeping?

*ahem* Unless, of course, your local public library already has them, and the 3.5 ones as well.

Your public library carries D&D books? Damn! I would have loved that when i was younger...

*shrug* If you don't need 'em, sell 'em.

I know a used bookstore around where I live gives about $10 for used D&D hardcovers. Good enough for me if I never need them again.

I keep mine. (My PHB wasn't in a very good shape, anyway. Wouldn't get much for that). They were my first D&D books, and have sentimental value :D.

Not every game group uses 3.5, or 3e, or 2.5, or 2E, or 1.5, or 1E.

you never know what you need.

Well, I doubt I'll find anyone playing the original D&D or AD&D 1st. And I definetly won't play AD&D ever again.

I've sold gaming books on several occasions over the years, and nearly always regretted doing so after the fact. In some cases, I've wound up buying them again because I missed them. ;) These days, I basically don't sell off my media -- I've learned my lesson.

I'll definitely be keeping my 3.0 books -- quite apart from the nostalgia factor, my group may wind up switching a few things back to 3.0 rules, and it'll be nice to have them on hand for that.

Well I still have my old 1st and 2nd edition plus all the OOP campaign settings so I can see keeping them, but I did get an offer of 40 bucks...

How attractive of an offer is that for everyone else?

I kept my PHB and sold the DMG and MM. I may play in 3.0 game at some point in the future and need the PHB, but if I run a game it will be 3.5. Either way, I will not need the DMG or MM.

Hey guys and gals,

I picked up the core 3.5 books cause I walked into a wonderful sale at the male. (Buy 4 books get the 5th one free) I wasn't really planning on picking them up right away but I've never been good at walking away from a sale...

Haha! I got suckered into the same thing at the Waldenbooks at my mall. :)

I wound up getting the 3.5 books, the Arms and Equipment Guide, and Ghostwalk.
