[D&D 3.5] Paths of Legend: Paths of Madness (OOC)

To be honest with you..... Dremis is not one to 'leave things behind' either.... for the love of god he's a thief after all heh..... if we are able to without getting railroaded... I'll help shard get her stuff back.... Dremis would do that as he wants HIS stuff back...

Red Wizards (and Monkey by proxy) are sneaky. ;) They didn't put the more valuable looking stuff where you might think... In fact, it might just be somewhere dark that nobody every ventures into...

;)

Yar, but I'm talking IC. OOC I know we're "supposed" to go now. :)

Can Shard get any sense of where the stuff is, from her psicrystals link to her? The scrying didn't reveal much, but I figured there might be a sort of vague sense of direction and/or distance.

I think you guys are forgetting something, from the very first post:

Starting Gold and Equipment: None (characters will have the opportunity to salvage gear and supplies when they escape); mention of significant items in the character's background (with a value of up to 1/2 of the starting gold for a 6th level character) may lead to the discovery of those items at some point in the game.

A note on familiars and animal companions: Sadly, any such creatures were slain when the characters were imprisoned. Characters will have the opportunity to acquire new ones during game play. Paladin special mounts are not affected by this stipulation (ie, they are still available). Psi-Crystals would've been confiscated as gear and may be able to be recovered (see equipment, above).
We ALL came into this game knowing that we weren't SUPPOSED to have gear/companions when we started, and might not be able to obtain them for some time, yet some of you are pushing for "I want my stuff now". Why would you create a character mentality that won't leave without their gear when it seems to me that the DM made it clear in the first post that we would be expected to do just that?

I specifically avoided including listed gear in my character creation because the DM asked us not to, so

I think I'd be kinda pissed if we go down the hall and player X finds his well-listed gear that the character was designed around having, after I came in on the assumption that I should not include said stuff.

feat choices I can see being specifically chosen as before being thrown in jail said character would have had use with a specific weapon beforehand.... gear. that's a different story... we were told to put in our gear section what gear our character would have had at time of capture..... and IF we could recover them what we would like to have salvaged......

I'm not familiar with psionics (yet) so i don't know of what significance a psi crystal is. However if it impedes the character (like maybe a cleric without his/her holy symbol) maybe it would be a good idea to get it. I did not list any special gear for Dace, as i was sure that monkey doesn't need me to design an enchanted axe for him! If he is gracious enough to provide one and any other magical trinkets that would fit a Large monstrous humanoid, i'd be happier if surprised.

A psi-crystal is more comparable to a wizard and his familiar... rather than a cleric and his holy symbol..... it has slightly different functioning than that of a familiar but on principle they work nearly the same way....
