Alright, no problem. I'll have 7 to start with, and I'll have you come in a bit later. Having you start a bit later won't present any serious problems to my plans, and I can work it in pretty easily. You might be a bit behind in XP, but that shouldn't be a big deal. Um yeah, no giths, and I probably wouldn't have them as a standard race unless I was doing Planescape. Not at all. We're still working on party composition. I'll put up a Rogues' Gallery soon. It's also kind of amusing that there's a lot of Small characters in this party. I didn't see that coming. This is likely going to be my biggest chellenge as a DM. Seafaring campaigns are a little off the norm, and it's been a while since I've played a regular campaign. I also feel a bit shaky running things with animal companions and familiars, but here I've got a party with a druid, ranger, sorc, wizard, and psion. That's potentially 2 companions, 2 familiars and a psicrystal. Ouch. :p And like I said, I haven't used 3e psionics before. On the upside, this is a PbP game, so I shouldn't have to worry about pauses breaking up the gameflow too much. It's alright. You still have a human DM here, and I can pull punches or at least not go out of my way to pwn the weaker PCs. Besides, jack's playing a big half-orc, so he can be the big guy that gets attacked a lot. :p And we got goblins and a kobold here, and they like to fight dirty. It's amusing that people were like, "We get to play goblins? Cool!" Yes this will be one motley crew. And you guys will be eventually getting your own ship. Spells: I'd like do go with the summoning specific creatures variant from the DMG (at least the 3.0 DMG). I'm also thinking about being more flexible with the selection, instead of the fixed selection for templated creatures, I want to let the players choose a creature and a template. So instead of being confined to say celestial dog or fiendish dire rat, you can choose either a dog or dire rat or any other creature on the summon monster I list and have it celestial or fiendish as well as axiomatic, anarchic, fire, water, earth or air. I'm going to take a look at the templates and make sure they're more or less balanced first. Anyway, that's 8 PCs, so recruiting is closed.
