First Post
Ok, just a wild idea I had based on d20modern. This is first draft, tell me what you think. Ideally I would want only 5 basic classes, but this is the first draft.

Basic Classes: Fighter, Rogue, Monk, Cleric, Druid, Wizard, Sorceror.

Advanced Classes: Barbarian, Ranger, Paladin, Bard

Prestige Classes: At your discretion.

New Feats:

Favored Enemy [General]
Prereq: BAB +1
Benefit: As phb choose a favored enemy. Against your favored enemy you have a +1 competence bonus to damage.
Special: You may take this feat more than once, each time you do pick a new favored enemy. You may not take this feat again until your BAB has increased.

Rage [General]
Prereq: BAB +1
Benefit: As phb except only +4 bonus to Str. Usable 1/day.

Melodious [General]
Prereq: Perform 5+ ranks
Benefit: As phb bard, choose 1 song: Inspire Competence, Countersong, or Fascinate.

Lay on Hands [General]
Prereq: Heal 4 ranks
Benefit: You may heal a number of points of damage equal to your ranks in Heal 1/day. You may not divide up the healing, and this is a Full-Round Action.

Grace [General]
Prereq: Cha 13+
Benefit: You gain your charisma modifier to your reflex saving throws.

Damage Reduction [General]
Prereq: BAB +13, Toughness
Benefit: You gain Damage Reduction 1/-.
Special: If you have 10 levels in the Advanced Class Barbarian, you may take this feat again.

Advanced Class: Ranger
Prereq: Track, Favored Enemy, BAB +3, 6 ranks in Wilderness Lore.

Ranger Enemy: At 1st level and forever after any enemy that you have taken with the feat Favored Enemy becomes a Ranger Enemy. You gain a +2 competence bonus to Bluff, Listen, Sense Motive, Spot, and Wilderness Lore against your Ranger Enemy. You also have a +2 competence bonus to damage which does not stack with the feat Favored Enemy bonus. Every 5 levels this bonus increases by 1, these bonuses are not retroactive, if you take the feat Favored Enemy you only get a +2 bonus until you reach a level of ranger when the bonuses increase.

Bonus Feat: A ranger may take a bonus feat from the following list: Favored Enemy, Alertness, Endurance, Run, Any feat from the Fighter Bonus Feat list except Weapon Focus and Weapon Specialization.

Spellcasting Ability: A ranger can cast a small number of divine spells. To cast a spell a ranger must have a wisdom score of at least 10+spell level. Ranger bonus spells are based on wisdom and saving throws have a DC of 10+spell+wis modifier. The ranger prepares spells as a cleric does, though may not use spontaneous casting. Whew, a lot of work for the first draft. So, you made it this far, what do you think? Does this work or is it just a waste of time? Something overpowered, underpowered? I stuck to the phb most of the time, reduced levels for a couple things, but tried not to make any glaring errors. Im happy to discuss. Also, could the druid or monk be done as an advanced class? How about Sorceror?

PS-Thanks for reading, sorry bout the bad tables.
