Original D&D(1974) is the only true game. All the other editions are just poor imitations of the real thing.

Did you have to say "cult"?

As terms go it's not so bad; certain really cheezy sci-fi movies are known as "cult classics" for instance. Besides, the term might not have the same overtly negative connotation it's gained in the U.S.

I really hope Arneson's assertion about nuclear subs is true (that at one time there was a D&D group on every U.S. nuke sub) because I still get a big grin when I hear it.
