Mark, I think you're right about giving Neutral, or Positive if he refunds me. I'm not getting any bad vibes from him, and he has been replying to my emails promptly, so I think Negative is a bit harsh.

Good man, blargney. More flies with honey, right? :)

Let's give the guy the benefit of the doubt here. Bluffside had a map which was glued into the back of the book.

It's possible that the guy bought the book and either A) the map fell out before he purchased, not aware that it should have come with the map or B) someone simply stole the map from the book before this guy purchased it.

If you are totally unhappy with it, the guy should give you a refund for it. You could always email Meg Hal (assuming he finds the time to respond) and he might actually just send you a map. Chances are he has extras.

If he seems honest enough, give him positive for at least fessing up he did not know. There are a tons or liars and con men on ebay, don't burn someone just because of an honest mistake. Did you pay over cover price??

I got mine free from MEG back in the day and it had no map in it. Generally if there is a personal picture of something and they don't show the extras, I figure they aren't there. I buy a lot of Dragon and Dungeon mags on eBay and they never have the extras. However, I do like knowing if the magazine is in perfect mint condition or not.

When did Mint ever mean "complete"? I have bought at least 40 books off eBay and everytime I see "mint" I think it means the book is in near new condition. That's it. Giving negative feedback is just a bad call here. Did you know about the map previously? For instance if someone was selling WLD on eBay I would definitely ask for the maps.

Yep, ask for a refund (and send back the book *after* you received it (both of you should probably share the added cost for postage, it's not his fault entirely)).

If he accepts -> positive feedback.
If not -> neutral (or even positive) feedback (with an objective explanation).

Negative feedback should be reserved for *really* negative cases. This is not perfect, but certainly not *that* bad. And he seems to be willing to resolve the situation, so that would not be very fair.

Bye
Thanee
