more high level adventures

Those are really in short supply! It seems like the number of pre-made adventures you can find drops off dramatically past level 10. In addition, those are really really hard to do well.

Encounters that can challenge high level characters are tough to write, and I'd like to see examples of them, either to run, or to crib for my own campaigns.

my first preference is expansion rules and then generic settings. generic settings are helpful to just drop into a campaign, but i generally don't buy modules.

i would like to see good expansion rules for war. aeg's book is a PC book with 5 pages of mass combat rules. really not useful for what i wanted. something like the old battlesystem. (which i got ESD and got the conversion.)

One trend I'm noticing in this thread is a desire for higher level chr information and campaign development tools. Determing how to challenge characters above 10th level seems to be something desired.

I've found that the campaign moves to be more political the further into the teens a group goes. Do others find this as well?

I've been trying to think what tools I need to make my DM life easier. A book on intrigue and social interactions would be nice. New uses for Social Skills and political experience rewards would be very useful.

Is this something others would find useful as well or are most of your groups still adventuring in more typical fassion?

Poll Wrap up

I let the poll go fallow for a while but just wanted to post the results.

The original poll in May of 2001 had 4232 respondants. This poll had 69, so there was a great difference in the sample.

There was a great similarity between the results regardless.

The two options that topped the list last time, did so again this time. (More "rules expansions" and More generic locations). Each of these increased from 17% and 18% respectively to 26% and 24%.

Third place was a tie between More high level adventures and more campaign settings. Both of which scored 5th and 7th place in the first poll.

More Character related material fell from 16% to 10%. A drop that sent it to 5th place.

The largest differences were the change of More low level adventures, More mid level adventures, More spell/magic items books, and More character relate materials. Each fell 4 or more % points.
