D&D Minis: What's missing most?

As people are talking about the hatred for dwarves and drow in the D&D minis, what other types of humanoids could be used?

An undersea expansion could put a spin on things.

1. Sahagin/sea devils: One in there from the Aberrations I think. Need more!

2. Yuan-Ti: Need more!

3. Raptorians: Can be used as winged elves too!

4. Kuo-Toa

5. Mermen

6. Locatha

7. Mind Flayers: Maybe another half-breed type?

8. Lizard Men: Have some good ones now but...

Any others?

I've found that the Lord of the Rings miniatures game orcs make good ogres for D&D. I think they're 1.5 or 2 inch scale, so they look about right. Figures like Aragorn, etc. make good stand-ins for enlarged PCs as well.

Getting in on this late in the game...

Giants and giant types are the biggest hole in my mini collection I want to fill. Ogres, trolls, fire giants, hill giants, etc. They're very difficult to buy as singles.

Wouldn't call it hatred as such. It's just that we have an awful lot of dwarves, and most of them have use either an axe or a hammer, and a shield. There have been lots of drow, too.

Gnomes!!

An undersea expansion could put a spin on things.

Except that, as always, only about 10 of the figures would truly cleave to the theme. Wardrums will probably be different, but then again, it's not hard to get the war theme right in a war game.

The Sahuagin Ranger is one nice figure. Wouldn't mind another sea devil

2. Yuan-Ti: Need more!

I don't know, we already have Pure Blood, Half Blood and Abomination. Other things have precedence I'd say.

3. Raptorians: Can be used as winged elves too!

Not really. I'd rather have genuine winged elves. Before we get raptorans, I want that Avariel, and when we're at it, a succubus, and a male fey'ri. First things first.

4. Kuo-Toa

Yea, a whip or cleric of blibldoolpoolp (I'm quite sure that isn't spelled correctly)

7. Mind Flayers: Maybe another half-breed type?

I said it before and I say it again: Mindwitness. That way we get an illithid and a beholder!

Any others?

Gnomes!

And a Ghostwise Halfling Barbarian. A Goblin riding a wolf/worg. A griffonrider on his griffon. And of course a dragonrider (works best as a huge!)

In general, we really need those gnomes, they are quite underrepresented. Beyond that, all core races should get about the same number of creatures. Besides that, subraces that haven't been covered yet would be nice.

One thing I'd like to see is some more of the older figures redone.

For example, umber hulks. The price on these things range from $20-$50 on the secondary market.

And some figures we don't have enough variants of, like the Kuo-Toa.

I love seeing new ground covered, but at the same time, with so many of the same style of figure in terms of humanoids being made, I'd like to see some variants of some of the older figs as well.

Another thing I'd like to see, is based off of the upcoming clix figures. Bases that have some terrain on them.

For example, a sniper hiding behind a log.

A rogue hiding behind a wall section.

A bullete tearing through the ground of the base.

And I want rules for using them in the miniatures game.
