D&D Online will probably use an existing MMORPG engine, doesn't take that much time to add content.

everquest 2 hasn't started its beta yet as far as I can tell, so I'd say there release date stinks. Unless they just plan to release a piece of crap and let the paying crowd be the beta.

I thought that was how it always worked with these things.

Funny. :D

That's what people seem to say about galaxies though I haven't played it to make a judgement. But for most mmorpgs there usually is a solid beta and a fully working game is given. Balance is continually tweeked until the end of time and new content is added of course so the beta never solves all.
