D&D Monster Index (April 2007)

Here is the April update of my Excel D&D monster index. As well as all of the 1st/2nd/3rd Edition (A)D&D creatures, the index now includes almost all of the creatures from the original D&D line, from the original 3-volume set (complete with hobbits and ents) through the Basic/Expert/Companion/Master/Immortal series right up to the Thunder Rift line of the early 90s.

This still isn't quite a complete D&D monster index, since there are still about ten products I haven't yet tracked down copies of, but it is probably 99% of the way there now :D :D.

Updates since last month:
  • Added almost all of the original D&D products
  • Added Baltron's Beacon (I7)
  • Added Red Sonja Unconquered (RS1)
Summary of what is included in the index:

What products are you missing? Perhaps some of us can assist. ;)
Good question. From the OD&D line, I'm missing Black Opal Eye (RPGA2), Orcs of Thar (GAZ10), Legions of Thyatis (DDA2), Eye of Traldar (DDA3) and Wrath of the Immortals. Of these, I think that only Wrath of the Immortals contains creatures.

I'm also struggling to find copies of Polyhedron #2, #18 and #99 to check the entries for Hagertral, Kobalts and Sand Mother respectively. Oh, and pretty much all of the issues of Imagine magazine which ran from 1983 to 1985. I don't know if Imagine actually printed any new creatures, but I'd like to check.

And, now that I think about it, I haven't checked (and don't own) the very early D&D modules produced by Metro Detroit Games and Wee Warriors (Lost Caverns of Tsojconth, Dwarven Glory, Palace of the Vampire Queen and Quest for the Fazzlewood) or TSR's first version of Lost Tamoachan. Hmmm... and the hard to find RPGA adventures from the R-series: Great Bugbear Hunt (R5), Bigby's Tomb (R6), "Dwarven" Quest for the Rod of Seven Parts (R7), Yog's Dessert (R8), Tinker's Canyon (R9) and Air Plane! (R10).

So quite a few more than ten products actually ;).

I can post the ones from Wrath of the Immortals tonight.
Cool, thanks. According to the CCCI, they are:

Baak, p105
Diabolus, p106
Fiend, Lesser, p108
- Croaking
- Groaning
- Hissing
- Howling
- Roaring
- Screaming
- Whispering
Jumper, p110
Monster Ruler, p111
Notion, p112
Plopped, p?
Servitor, p113
Sprackle, p?
Zombie, Lightning, p?

I understand that Wrath of the Immortals has a rules book and an adventure book. I assume the monsters are in the rules book -- would you mind checking the title of that booklet?

Yes, the monsters are in the rule book. The fiends are all in the MM now. They are demons. I don't have the book in front of me to confirm which is which but I believe it is:

Croaking: Hezrou
Groaning: Nalfeshnee
Hissing: Marilith
Howling: Glabrezu
Roaring: Balor
Screaming: Vrock
Whispering: Succubus

Edit: Actually, I think the Sprackle, Lightning Zombies and Plopped are in the adventure.
And there are Lesser and Greater Lightning Zombies
