D&D monster list on Wikipedia

Eh, we'll see. :) Those who want to get D&D stuff deleted haven't had anywhere near the level of success that they would like to see. The tide could turn either way at any time, I suppose.

You wouldn't know how we can ensure that it goes in our favor? I'm getting tired of seeing notability warning on Demon Lords

And I wish Gleemax for get off its duff and do something like a wiki for us. Though I like wikipedia, I can see this deletion getting out of hand.

The only way to cure those Notability warnings and deletions is to find 3rd-party sources (ie. non-TSR/WotC) to reference. That's damn hard for gaming stuff.

And we don't need to wait for Gleemax. Anyone can set up a Wikia wiki. It's ad-based, but basically the same software Wikipedia uses.

Well, at this point we're really down to one guy who's been going around and doing all the deletions and tagging. Unfortunately, he's severely persistent - you remove his tag and he'll put it right back. However, he's highly uncivil and regularly breaks a number of other rules, such as "no personal attacks" and "assume good faith" but he does it in a way that it's not obvious until you put all the pieces together (so that he can go "why me! all the other people are the bad guys"). When I put my mind together about it I'm going to file a formal complaint against him, because 6 months is long enough to have to tolerate this guy. :\

The simple fact is that Wikipedia was not openly hostile to D&D articles before he arrived, and it won't be after he's gone. It's him doing 90% of that and he seems to think it's his mission to take care of the "mess" all by himself.

But I digress... ;)
