The way Marvel has done with Avenger's Alliance and it's Tactics offshoot. Either of those provide a workable model for a D&D adventure, with a series of encounters leading up to clashes with a Boss. Use some of the "iconic" D&D characters in place of superheroes and villains instead of the Marvel equivalents. It'll be microtransaction heavy, even if those aren't necessary to play and enjoy. That seems far more likely to succeed than taking on cRPG heavyweights at their own game, or coming out with something second-rate to detract from the brand. For me, I'll suggest a comic book series. The recent D&D comic was a good read, or there's something like Image's new Rat Queens comic, as close to D&D as you can get without using the name.</blockquote>
