My apologies if the following has already been considered and rejected when you created this poll. Anyways ...

Polls on EN World are super easy to manipulate. If you are unlucky, one lone individual could ruin any results you obtain.

The best way, in my opinion, to get sort of interesting and "reliable" results is to create a public poll, and then only count the votes from registered users.

Of course, this still has a lot of problems, but I think (or maybe it is just my hope) is that this is one way of minimising the effect of ballot stuffing.

I voted "both", btw.

Didn't play much 3E during the last year and a half of its existence.

Since 4E we've been playing very regularly, especially in the last year plus.

I could not go back to 3E.

Several hundred responses later, if ENworld internet polls are to be believed 67% of ENworlders play 'exclusive 4e', and 17% play 3.x.

I've run a 3.x campaign, have played in one 3.x campaign, and are currently playing in another 3.x campaign. Next one I DM I'll be using Pathfinder (and likely Golarion's planes as the setting).

It happens a lot.

Plus huge swings in numbers quickly are not natural. If you look at how public and private polls move and compare them, it is easy to see big differences where there should not be.
