D&D Player Profile

Hello! I'm making a deck of pre generated characters as my undergraduate design project, and I need some data to have a better idea of who the target audience is. The results are open, so you can see them after you fill the form, but I'll probably post the results in a week or so after I close the form.
If you could take less than two minutes of your time to fill this form, I would be eternally grateful!

You can find the form here: https://forms.gle/HdwuX3PNsszGWHwc6

Tip for future surveys: put age in ranges, you'll probably need to compile it that way, anyway, and it'll feel less like a privacy risk to the respondent.
(Yeah, I'm paranoid, I've played D&D since 1980, the paranoia's bled out into RL. No, I don't quite check the ceiling for green slime when I walk into a room... not quite...OK, maybe occassionally.)

Yeah, I noticed a lot of flaws in my form after I published it. I wanted more precise results, but then I ended putting the rest of the information in ranges anyway, go figure haha.

Collecting data is really a very thorny challenge, isn't it?

(BTW, from the results, I'm guessing you cast your net much wider than just here at ENWorld?)

Best of luck with your project!

The form doesn’t really accommodate pbp players. I know we’re a minority even among RPG players, but if people don’t acknowledge our existence, no strides will ever be made to make our existence easier.

so wanted to recheck the results after a day and noticed that it just gave me the unfilled form again. Do you have an option to prevent that? Because if the form can be filled multiple times from one entity (seeing as you have some Apache and Honda in there now), the validity of the data will likely be put into question (if presented on academy grounds)

Well, at least this was a learning experience haha. I posted it on r/dnd and r/dndnext, on the DnD Beyond forums and a guy helped me spread the word through Discord.

Sorry, dude. I actually had to google what pbp was, I really didn't know. :(

Unfortunately google forms doesn't let me share a link to just the results. Data may get a little skewed, but the evaluation takes the project into consideration much more than the paper, so I think I'm still safe.
