d20 books I CANNOT buy (Rant)

It's really hard to find books even in America. I can only imagine how hard it is to get stuff in Europe or elsewhere.

Grim Tales.

No place down here carries it, and I don't have a credit card, which makes online orders impossible. So, truthfully, that prettymuch cuts me out of the entire online market, and down to what I can scrounge in bookstores.

My gaming store will special order me anything I ask for. Have you checked at yours?

well, you seem to be able to buy at least some rpg books you want, i can't at all. there are almost no stores here that sell any kind of rpg stuff, and shippment to where i live cost lots. the only way i got the few dnd books i have was from the very far betwin places here that do sell that kind of stuff, downloads from file sharing programs which is copyright violation, and from trips to europe or the usa.

I ordered Mesopotamia through WW store months ago and I have had the book for a month. I also got Beyond at the WW store. I do not see the trouble.

What burns me is that Amazon still lists Frostburn as a pre-order, yet the ENWorld store has it!

I keep looking for tome of horrors. Its not carried by our local stores, Waldenbooks told me they couldn't order it, and I can't find it on amazon or Barnes and Noble. (there is one listing in the used books on B&N but that is actually for Tome of Horrors II when you get to the actual item). Of course I'm mostly interested in getting a cheap used one but normally amazon and Barnes and noble have listings for used ones that might or might not be cheap.

What, do I stutter? :)

Well, in case someone didn't know that, it was certainly worth repeating.

Hey, Turanil, you know that Beyond Countless Doorway is available as a non-DRM PDF through White Wolf's server, right? ;)

Also, a reason for your delay from amazon on BCD might be that it's NOT OUT IN PRINT YET. (/me is waiting with baited breath, because a book this big really needs a hardback...)

Well, I have bought several d20 books this year, but was ready to buy more.

I especially wanted to buy Ancient Kingdoms: Mesopotamia and Beyond Countless Doorways.

As the others said: Go ask in your Friendly Local Gaming Store.

Failing that, go look for a Friendly Online Gaming Store. I found mine via the Green Ronin Retailer Locator (when those amateurs from amazon couldn't get me Ultramodern Firearms d20). I found one that's extremely cheap, very fast in delivery, doesn't charge any delivery fees (at least not within Germany), and has a good assortment of RPG material (including the newer stuff, usually quite early). Perfect shop.

Then, if things get desperate, you could actually try to get something from mine (that is, my favourite store. Unfortunately, I don't own a store ;-)). It's www.dragonworld.de I'm sure they understand english, and though I don't know how much it will cost to ship it there, they at least say on their website that they do ship stuff more or less everywhere (France should be no problem)
