[d20 Future] Campaign Setting Wishlist

In that case, none of these are really settings for d20 Future -- they'd presumably just be settings that could be run with the MSRD and the setting book alone. That makes it easier, I think, at least.

The way d20 Modern handle finances in a contemporary envionmet is good. The only weird part is dealing with magic items, and GMs can glue something together if it's a problem for them. That said, I'd like to see Dragonstar (D&D setting from Fantasy Flight Games) retooled to run with the Wealth bonus system. Maybe with something like the new class structures, too. This could be cool, and a very interesting choice..

Just my two cents:

Ghost in the Shell
Trinity
Jovian Chronicles
Heavy Gear
Akira
Transhuman Space
Cyberpunk
Blue Planet

oh...and a new psionics system. If d20 Future can do that, I'll be a happy camper.

Ah, Dune d20.

Wasn't that under protection and almost complete when a license negotiation killed it, way back in the early days of 3e? I'm sure that it was being talked about prior to SWd20...

Personally, I am thinking about running a campaign with a slight retro feel and going Indiana Jones/The Mummy with it... maybe with a hint of the Untouchables thrown in for grit...

I just want to say amen to the Blade Runner suggestion. Great Movie. Other than that all the ones I would suggest are already on here. I think The Matrix could work but the twink factor would more high than usual just because of what it is. But in the new console game that call the bullet time "Focus" and will have a meter to limit use. That could be used in a RPG, but the timing rules would be intresting I think.

Is this "we're allowed to dream" time? If so then Dune, Dark Space (perhaps Monte could get the license!), Starship Troopers, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and Aliens vs. Predator.

Thumbs up for Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I'd love to do that. Too bad no money available for licensing.

Two of the ideas mentioned above are definate musts for me:

Trinity and Night's Dawn

Maybe D20 could revive Trinity from the depths of Art Haus obscurity at White-Wolf and we'd finally find out what actually is going on with it all!!

I'm actually reading the Night's Dawn trilogy at the moment and think it would make a great setting for a RPG (although I think Fading Suns might have been slightly influenced by this with regards to the Symbiots...)

cheerio,

d20 Future campaign models

Wish list based on movies/TV:

Aliens, Total Recall, Blade Runner, Outland, The Matrix, The Fifth Element, Battlestar Galactica, Buck Rogers (also was a TSR game), Tron, Terminator, Alien Nation, Star Trek

Based on games:

Shadowrun, Cyberpunk, Robotech, Gamma World, Star Frontiers, Traveller

Any of the above hopefully will be doable with d20 future.
