Add in a healthy helping of non-magical creatures from D&amp;D/D20 Modern/Menace Manual/etc... etc...&nbsp; The main point of it, though, is that the human empire is contained within the SpaceMaster feudal system, with Star Law officers working as a sort of old west &quot;US Marshall&quot; (they have jurisdiction anywhere in the empire). At this point, the PCs are messing around on the fringe of the Empire, making occasional forays into Jade London or Cashmere space (via Jumpgates) for missions and illicit trading opportunities.</blockquote>
