d20 Future Tech

I think that WoTC is underestimating how well this type of book could sell.

Perhaps it's just my experience with GURPS, but Ultra Tech, Ultra Tech II, Bio-Tech, Robots, Mecha, and even High tech, were all 128 pages and were all heavily used by us (although we hated the lack of good, solid art that illustrated what many of the things in the book actually were.)

I strongly suspect that if WoTC really tried, they could easily do a d20 Ultra Tech, d20 Robots, d20 Mecha, etc... at 160 full color pages in hardcover for their old $29.95.

GURPS have a longstanding fanbase, while d20 Modern is a newcomer. Also, Steve Jackson Games only answer to Steve Jackson. WotC answer to Hasbro's Executive Board.

But I do agree with you. Any equipment book is considered essential for almost any campaign.
