Thanks fior the heads up. I don't see how that affects the SRD. Is there some mention elsewhere regarding new material being added?

Indeed, thanks for posting that. I see this as a moderate but significant piece of the announcement:

the only significant addition is that no Covered Product may use the term "Player's Handbook" in it's title.

Is that intended to point at the new "Advanced" series I wonder? Good question on the SRD by the way Mark.

Could be a reaction to Mongoose's "Pocket Player's Handbook" as well.

No problem. I happened to see it, and figured folks here would be interested. I don't know anything other than what was posted on the WOTC boards. Hopefully Charles Ryan will respond to your question there.

This is a change to the d20 license, not the OGL.

If you are publishing under the OGL only (i.e. no d20 logo), you can still use Player's Handbook in a product.

And Mongoose's Pocket Player's Handbook isn't published under the d20 license.

Thanks again. We'll see but I have a feeling that clarification will be handled by others outside the company. Direct questions in public forums of a legal nature are generally not publicly fielded. It's nonetheless important to ask the questions, IMO. We'll have to see what happens to the actual SRD in the next few days to determine whether he mispoke, of if some action was taken that goes against what I understand is the nature of SRD.
