There will be the OGL and Wizards D&D products period. No d20 STL (tiered or otherwise) to be even more clear.

So long and thank you for the fish.

Sooo... What will this forum be about? Discussion about the current d20STL (v6.0)?

Maybe there's a strong argument to merge the two forums; but we'll wait a while and see how each develops.

This does not bode well.

I prefer the OGL to be a generic content license, now it's going to be a WotC-specific content license, complete with WotC-owned trademark use. I hope I'm wrong with the previous sentence.

I'm not sure where you're getting that from. OGL still sounds like it's going to be a generic content license, but they're considering adding legalese to allow folks to do a "compatibility" claim in their product.

My opinion is based on expected forum traffic, nothing else. Looks like "d20 STL" conversation is likely to die with the d20 STL. I run a messageboard, not a gaming license. :)

Compatible to "4th Edition Dungeons & Dragons," and last I checked, that is still WotC's owned trademark. Hence, trademark use.

I just hope it is an option, not mandatory ... the "4e compatibility claim" part.
