d20/MnM - 5 hours till game time to figure out what to do next... :)

I've got 5 hours and 30 minutes to figure out what happens next in my Mutants and Masterminds game.

What follows is a very rough writeup of events so far:

**************************************************************
So farin the plot the PCs have been working to track down the source of a new designer drug called 'Astro' that's hit the city.

It started with one PC's friend OD'ing in a nightclub (Tuck's Place - owned by Antonio Vintelli), and a second PC being sent to do a 'people story' on newly homeless former dot-com workers who've fallen into drugs or worse.

From these angles they uncovered Astro just as it was beginning to circulate. Astro is a designer drug, not yet illegal. It causes hallucenations and in a lab rat has given it the ability to deduce, plan it's escape, and even win a game of tic tack toe. Astro comes in little gel caps and goes a fain blue from giving off small amounts of radiation.

They follow two sets of people out of the club. The dealer, and a group of gang bangers outside trying to get people to buy stuff...
The gangsters ride the city bus out to the projects. Karisma follows from the air then knocks on the door of two and hangs out with them watching TV and asking questions... Karisma has this ability to make anyone her new best friend... From this she learns that 'The Monarch' is likely behind it all. He's your typical mysterious crime boss - [insert Kingpin here])

They track to a warehouse (Handong shipping c/o ACME Warehousing) by following the dealer (Mikeil) who dealt to the first PC's (Karisma - norse goddess of beauty) friend (Clarissa).

After the dealer left the warehouse in his BMW the PC's raided the place and took out a bunch of goons loading crates of Astro as well as three supers hired by Adam's Security to protect the place:

Steeltouch: a superstrong guy who turns people he punches into steel statues
Tom Gun: a european ex-military commando who can turn any gun she holds into her special gatling gun
Dark Angel: a corrupted angel wielding an unholy sword of vengence.

(Steeltouch and Tom Gun are a duo, and didn't like working with the angel)

They managed to arrest all but Tom Gun (who escaped by hiding out on an island in the bay where the PC's had chased her and Steeltouch). However they had no charges to hold these people on as they were legally hired security (in fact a subplot if I wanted it would be the warehouse pressing charges on the PCs).

That was session one and part of two.

The next day the PC reporter (Bolt a speedster and newscaster in his secret ID, engaged to a cop who suspects but isn't sure) goes to interview some people he'd met at the Free Clinic the day before. From this he learns details on the drug scene, and how Astro is now spreading. He interviews a former dot-com exec who is weeks away from having to sell his home, and a homeless guy who used to by a sys-admin but is now a street junkie trying to kick a heroin habit. He skips interviewing a crazy crack whore he'd also met at the clinic (I had planned her as a marketing exec for a dot-com who'd hit bottom hard).
The homeless guy (Hal) takes him on a tour of the streets to do a drug buy for his story. His editor had specifically told him to try and hide the story from 'that pesky super team with that Bolt guy who's always messing up our stories before we can get to the tear jerkers', so he's here not to bust up anyone, but to gather clues. As they approach the small park where the dealer hangs out Bolt spots his cousin, the super villain General Mayhem, talking to the dealer. Still in secret ID he tells Hal and his newscrew to clear out, then ducks around a corner and comes back as Bolt to challenge his cousin and his cousin's new team.
Before the first round of combat is up, Bolt has ben sent flying unconscious down several city blocks to smash into a newspaper stand. All filmed by his own newscrew that decided not to clear out, and aired live on the afternoon news, with a followup story by a fellow newscaster at his station (Amy Feng from the MnM book - she's doing a story on rumors that Bolt's team has broken up).

Karisma hears her communicator go dead, then pick up static (one of Mayhem's people had a jammer, but Bolt got knocked a mile out of it's coverage as he was running at over 1000kph when he got hit). She rushes in to find Bolt and takes him back to HQ.
Bolt rushes to the station after resting to recover and calls out his cousin on the news, then brushes off most of Amy's questions on the team (leaving her with only the option of reairing his defeat until they go to commercial).

The next day (session 3) the two teams meet down at the beach and Mayhem challenges Bolt 'mana-a-mano', letting everyone else watch. A new PC joins us at this moment, as former team member Tsunami (a gadgeteer who can create objects with the power of his mind) returns from his trip to Brasil.
The fight ends in a draw. After several minutes (an hour of play), Mayhem can't hit Bolt, and everytime Bolt hits mayhem he gets stronger...
Mayhem tells Bolt to meet him at their aunt Maria's where they can 'settle this over a game of cards'. But after several hours (two failed and tied die rolls) they cannot get anywhere woith that either, so they take over their newphew's playstation and go at it until the wee hours of the wee hours of the morning when they get sick of tieing each other and both wander off in frustration...

The morning of two days later Hal (the homeless guy) calls up Bolt to tell him Astro's hit the street hard overnight. Dealers where circulating in the park giving out free baggies of the stuff. He also mentions a first publicly known fatality from a homeless woman ("but she was so full of stuff it could have been anything").

(the PCs were delaying here as Tsunami researched his device, and so I let the villain's clock move forward, a planned scene with some Columbians in a boat got skipped as the stuff had all managed to get smuggled in).

The PCs go over their options. Tsunami creates a device to track the radiation signature of Astro and they go looking through the docks. They come up empty, but do find a body that had been pumped full of the stuff laying amongst the silt at the bottom.
They go back to Tuck's Place (the nightclub) and do a searhc there, and find some gell caps stuck between the seat cushions of a booth. However they do it in costume so they have to deal with autograph's for the bouncers and owner (it's 8pm, so club-goers are few). This also allows a few people I'd put on scene for them to slip away unnoticed...

They go rough up some gang members they'd met before
From this they get the name of Andrei, the local supplier, and the new warehouse (the crooks cleared out the old one after the PC's had found it).

PCs arrive on scene and notice a group of gang bangers walking off in one direction, and a car driving off in the other. The car picked up on Tsunami's Astro detector, but the device breaks down when they enter the warehouse...
They see a guy who fit's Andrei's description and begin to interrogate, but are interrupted by a man in a suit with a bug mask / head coming out of a restroom. A combat ensues and they take down four bug guys and a green zombie sorceress with some kind of death-grenade that nearly shrivels up Bolt.

We break, as the bug men are all out on the warehouse floor, Andrei's tried to make a run for it but been glued down by Tsunami, and the zombie woman is buried underneath a truck and trying to squirm out...

Where do I go from here...

What I know is that The Monarch is moving this new drug. If taken in sufficient quantities it will change a person (the rat had been given what for a human would have been about a hundred pills all at once).

All of the planned villains I had have been met and dealt with, and the PCs missed the chance to stop the shipment from getting in.

Mayhem and his gang:

General Mayhem: superstrong wallclimber with damage absoprtion
Bullet Head: Guy with a bullet shaped helmet who's super accurate and fast with guns.
Dr. Zig: psycho telepath who can create mass hallucinations and has a paranoia of doctors.
The Aztec: Shapechanger (eagle, snake, jaguar) martial artist.
The Face: faceless man who can mimic powers. (PCs never met him)
