I have a lot of horror/Cthulhu monsters, both original and converted from the Call of Cthulhu game, on my website:

And also ... D20 Modern uses the D&D 3.0 method of monster design, so the only "conversion" from D&D 3.5 is to redo a monster's skills and feats. The monsters in the 3.0 Monster Manual can be used as is as long as you remember the monsters MDT, which is easy to do since its equal to its Con score.

What other types of conversions were you looking for?

First off, your site rocks...

D20 modern lacks a good creature base. I would like to be able to use some of the new monsters from the boards here or from the 3.5 ruleset. I have seen some of the new rules from 3.5 and I am a tad confused on how to merge them

I am working on converting the CHILL rpg creatures to D20 Modern as we speak

Glad you like the site. :)

Unfortunately, I don't know anything about the CHILL system, so I'm not sure how much help I could be converting monsters.

CHill is a modern day horror game by pacesetter then mayfair games.

what I am actually in the need of, is some ravenloft or 3.5 creatures that would lend themselves well to the horror genre.

the first edition ravenloft being 3.0 would be ok to convert since it would be adding the MDT. but how would one go about converting 3.5 to d20 modern?

The biggest changes in going from 3.5e to 3.0 is reworking the monsters number of skill points and feats.

Post a 3.5e monster here and I walk you through a conversion. :)

Don't have that one ...

Anyway ... converting from 3.5e monster style to 3.0e monster style is very easy. The only thing you really need to convert are the number of skill points at feats (and honestly, you really don't even *need* to convert that ... the discrepancy in skill points and feats can be easily made into "racial skill bonuses" and "bonus feats" by DM fiat).

Post here the monster's Hit Dice, skills, feats, and ability scores. I will provide you with the 3.0 versions.
