[d20 Modern] Rules questions.

Lord Pendragon

First Post
I'm currently making a character to join a d20 Modern game, and have a couple questions regarding the rules. Apologies if these are obvious, but I'm working from the SRD here...

1. Do you add your Strength bonus to a shuriken's damage roll? To thrown weapons in general?

2. I'm pretty sure the answer is yes, but couldn't find the text in the SRD. When wielding a melee weapon 2-handed, do you still add 1.5 strength, as with standard D&D?

3. Are action points gained at a rate of (for example, the Strong Hero,) (5+1/2 level rounded down), at each level. Or is the '5' only for the first level, and each additional level only worth (1/2 level rounded down)...?

4. Shuriken list a rate of fire of '1', but the description says they can be drawn as a free action. Does this mean a PC with three attacks can throw three shuriken, or only 1 due to the rate of fire?

Thanks for any help! This will be my first experience with d20 Modern, and it looks like fun! :)

Technically you don't add your Str bonus to shuriken. Normally, they're used to deliver a contact poison.

Generally, you do add Str bonus to thrown weapon damage.

I went by way of Dungeons & Dragons, the first product to use the d20 System.

BTW, the numbering is off, so....

[2.] When wielding a melee weapon 2-handed, do you still add 1.5 strength, as with standard D&D?
Correct, as long as the weapon is the same size as you or one size larger. Any weapon one size smaller than you do not benefit from the added Str benefit.

The first method.

Okay, this should have been part of question #1.

I say one (1) shuriken for each attack, even though in D&D 3e you can throw up to three (3) shuriken for each attack.
