Well- the formal announcement for Blood and Vigilance is coming tomorrow. :)

If it's as good as Blood & Fists, I want it NOW. Let me ask you , does the power factor slide up and down well, so you can use the same rules for "limited Psi powers world" and "the Authority" world?

The power scales up slowly as characters gain levels.

What this means in practical terms is that the higher level you are, the more fantastic the game is going to be.

At low levels, you could play a punisher style game where your opponents were other normals, and they would be a challenge for you.

At 10th and 15th level there are optional feats that give an exponential increase in power points, that the GM can allow or restrict for genre purposes.

Level is also used as a guide for genre. If you are playing a Street Level Game, then the campaign starts at 4th level. Four Color and it starts at 10th, Cosmic and it starts at 15th.

In this way, a campaign can move from Street Level to Four Color, as I feel Spiderman has.

I just got done writing the press release, which will be up, along with the cover, in a day or so. In the meantime, thought you guys might like a peak at the class list:

Acrobat, Brick, Energy projector, Gangster, Mastermind, Mentor, Psychic, and Speed Demon

All are advanced classes.

Also, the book includes all the info you need to use all the standard basic and advanced classes as well.

Well- the official PR is here, and you can check out the cover at the link provided in that blurb.

This is something I have wanted to do for a long time, and so any questions you have I will be happy to answer :)

So, what sets this product apart from similar supers products, such as DNW and 4CTF?

Well- no easy questions for me I suppose! :)

Having seen the original versions of both games (4CTF and DNW), but not having seen the revised version of either, that's a little hard to answer.

I *can* say that my purpose for doing this revision was twofold.

Vigilance was my first published game (and in fact, the second d20 superhero game EVER, after only the Foundation). There were things about it I liked, and things I... didn't.

So, having been a "pro" for almost two years, I decided it was time to try and get everything right.

Secondly, was an attempt to allow those running a supers game to tap into all the great d20 modern products out there, including my own Blood line.

One thing we really liked (my publisher and I), was the fact that we already had a martial arts book (Blood and Fists) under our belts, and a military book (Blood and Guts), and that this book tied both those products together.

Of course this also applies to d20 Modern books I did NOT write, such as the great Martial Arts Mayhem and MPCs by the Game Mechanics, Urban Arcana, etc. etc.

I hope this helps. :)
