D20 Modern Websites: Where are they?

KingOfChaos

First Post
I have been having a hell of a time finding a D20 Modern website anywhere. When searching for D20 Modern on Google, I get a bunch of reviews and 'special deals' on the D20 Modern book but no actual resource sites for it.

Do you guys know if any besides Modus Operandi (which is a Spycraft, not a D20 Modern site)?

Fan site, I'm guessing. I've googled for 'em as well, and I'm coming up with whole heaping slice of nuthin pie.

I know that you're going to say that all the boys say this when they really want something else, but I honestly like intelligence and a sense of humor in my fan-sites.

<grin>

Actually, I was looking for a modern version of a paladin. I was going to tweak it for a prestige class, however, since it's for a NPC, I'm going to run with the Bodyguard until I feel comfortable enough with the ruleset to make the new class.

Here's a few I found useful:

The Game Mechanics (http://www.thegamemechanics.com/) have a good amount of free material (by guys like Rich Redman, Stan!, and JD Wilker). Check out their Experiments section of the site for some excellent quality downloads dealing with Martial Arts and Firearms variants, and check their Message Board for some great material from them and the fans, such as some rather in depth material for converting The Matrix into a d20M setting.

The D20Modern-L mailing list archive (http://oracle.wizards.com/archives/d20modern-l.html) on the WotC site is a great resource, IMO. Lots of raw ideas from the people playing the game.

The FanCC d20 Netbook of Sci-fi (http://www.dcrouzet.net/nboscifi/), while not technically d20M at this point, is a decent site to mine for ideas. In addition, leadership of the project has recently been transferred to James Henley, who you make recognize as editor of Ethos Ezine. Also visit the project's Yahoo group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nboscifi/) for more idea mining fun.

Gamecrafter's Guild (big ass nasty url, just click here) has some custom Advanced Class material in their download section, the link I posted will take you right there.

That's it? O_o You think a popular as the book was, there would be more fan sites centered around D20 Modern.

I am hereby planning on creating a D20 Modern website..already have one of my friends working on a layout.,

Meanwhile, I'll look through all these links and see if they warrant a D20 Modern subcategory being created at the Open Directory project. If they do, i'll create one in the Universal/D20 category.

I have started to put together a site (www.wirepaladin.co.uk) not much on it yet.

I have also set up forums for reviews books/films/music that inspire you also a reading group forum (Island of Dr Moreau and Frankenstein if people are interested - I have included links to free downloaded copies).

Eventually (by Easter) it will have a PDF copy of the d20 Modern errata and FAQ that I am helping to compile.
