D20 Modern Wish List

BrooklynKnight

First Post
During the D20 Future chat, Christopher Perkins said he was intrested in seeing/knowing what the fans wanted from D20 Modern. What kind of products they were intrested in.

This is a great chance to put your two cents in and make sure you get heard.

Post what you want out of D20 Modern, and I'll compile it all together and send it to Chris.
Remember though, Chris is very buzy so try to keep your wishlist short. No ranting. Toss in a few lines for the kinds of products you want and there ya go!

d20 Disco. Or rather, a sourcebook on the 70s. One part disco, one part Blaxploitation movies, one part Hammer style horror. (which actually started earlier than that, but feels 70s-ish). (Maybe if there is room in the book throw in a section on Kung Fu movies.)

Also, I started playing the original Shadowhearts for the PS2. I'm not quite sure how to describe it, but it just screams d20 Modern. Sort of a 1910s occult/horror (and maybe alternate history) with some spy stuff.

And of course, Star Frontiers. A full book on it.

Softcover books chock full of short, themed scenarios that can be dropped into any campaign. Each scenario should be playable in an evening (4-5 hrs.). Possible themes: places of mystery (Stonehenge, Tikal, Lost City of Gold, etc.), journeys (airport-, train station-, bus station-based, etc.), events (scenarios taking place at...a pro football game, an auction house, a funeral, a New Year's Eve party, etc.).

I'd like to see some detailed books on the wars. Something like a Vietnam War source book detailing the helicopters, vehicles, and weapons used there, as well as the ground troops, their equipment, infantry divisions, etc. Artwork of the camo worn and the infantry insignias would be a great addition to a book like this. I'd also like to see some campaign modules of this nature thrown into the mix. If a publisher did a decent amount of research, I'm sure someone could come up with a strong book on the subject.

Does Future count as d20 Modern? If so, I'd like full books detailing some of the settings. Places, gear, that sort of thing. The d20 Future book was all about breadth. Now it needs some depth.

I have to second Ki Rin here.. I liked the summary info but I'd really love to see an actual dedicated one off campaign setting taken from one of the many examples in the d20 Future book. Heck all they have to do is mine or republish Alternaty info or update more of the Star Frontiers setting.. they own the catalog afterall..

I'd like maybe a d20Modern: Wild West...or is that d20Past?

I'd second the spaceship costruction and template idea. Maybe d20Horror? (not the Mongoose one)
