How high are the Armor bonuses, on average?

Wait, that doesn't make any sense, does it. I guess what I mean is will characters be getting most of their defense bonus from Armor or from their Class bonus usually?

the range is from +1 (leather jacket) to +9 (Forced entry unit armor)

(btw, the armor is the very last part of the equipment: weapons and armor section, so you just have to scroll down to the bottom )

Usually, from class defense bonuses. Armor in the typical d20 Modern milieu is something to be reserved for rare situations, and most often used by agents of official agencies or obtained illegally.

In other words, you go tromping around in full bettle gear in d20 Modern, you're going to be stopped by John Law on a regular basis. Unless you're part of a raid by a law enforcement agency you're better off without armor. A couple of levels of Fast Hero are a good idea, even if the PC has a lousy Dex.

My advice is, be careful, stay aware of your surroundings, use cover and concealment, and never let the villains and mooks get the drop on you.
