d20 / OGL Fiction

(and by d20/OGL fiction, i don't mean THAT kind of slash fiction!)

I have a pretty horrible idea.

OK, maybe it isn't horrible. Maybe it's tolerable. Maybe it's good. I think, at best, it's "fun."

Would it be allowed (legally) to write "almost" D&D stories and novels using the material made open in the SRD? You know, Sword & Sorcery novels with pointy-hatted half-elven Wizards casting MAGIC MISSILE (zap) and FIREBALL (woooofburn) at pretty much every monster except the ones that are still WOTC intellectual property?

Shrugs. A novel is just another way of introducing a campaign setting. As long as you abide by the OGL (and if you prefer, d20STL), I got no objection.
