I'm skeptical about the appearance of conversion guides, simply because they don't bring in money, and they divert resources from money-making projects.

Maybe we should start up a Revision Community Council to help them out?

Adventures that used tactics relying upon old spell mechanics (all day buffs for NPCs, endure elements for specific elements, polymorph, etc.), or monsters that changed power levels and CRs in the revision.

Monsters won't be tough to upgrade for use in a 3.5 campaign or new product, DR should convert easily and they might be off a feat or two or some skill points but no big deal for use in game.

spells that were based off of old versions of spells (BOEM mark spells) are impacted.

Most splatbooks are still useable, feats, prestige classes and many spells are going to be valid in both 3.5 and 3.0

The spell compendiums I bought that Green Ronin put out are probably mostly toast. If the there are as many subtle spell changes as I've heard then they lose 90% of thier use.

The Legions of Hell & Armies of the Abyss may be kind of out of wack now. If the baseline demons & devils all got the same boost a Pit Fiend got then they could be pretty underpowered, but I'm not sure.

The most affected products will be any products that I own. Because I don't have to worry about how affected other products are.

Adventures -- need to tweak monsters with DR, and some NPC statblocks (though if you didn't, who'd know?) although adventures with minimal statblocks have an advantage here when they just say "see MM/CRIII".

Bingo. I think that any complaints about updating NPCs is far overblown, and only those who are purposefully trying to hurt themselves are really worried about it. (I don't care at all, and I'm a *really* anal accountant...)

BAB? Check. AC? Check. HPs? Check. Skills? Check. Saves? Check. Good enough to be used, and the players will be none the wiser.

I'd be surprised if anyone cares that Joe Ranger NPC is missing a couple of skill points to his Intimidate skill.

Hey, don't worry about us... Nothing wrong with having the only 3.5 compatible Gnome splatbook on the market.

Well IMHO after seeing the books I think the ranger will be very easy to update.

Two Weapon Fighting is one of their fighting styles and they get it at second level so as long as the ranger is at least second level just assume that all preexisting ranger chose this option.

2 extra skill points/level
2 less hp/level or if using the average 1 less hp/level

change the class abilities and skills to add evasion at 9th level and wilderness lore into survivial and you're pretty well done.

I personall would only both with wilderness lore --> survival and evasion rationalizing that the sp and hp balance each other.

The one I would be worried about converting is the barbarian. The barbarian by far suffered the most changes that affect power level of the character.
