d20 Tabletop?

Is there any d20 - based Tabletop out there, apart from D&D Miniatures, or is that a no-no under the OGL?

Wasn't there a card game that used d20 stats? War Storm, War Lords, War-something-or-other? Past that, I'm not aware of any.

The d20 license is what allows you to use the d20 logo on a product or advertising. There are restrictions on what you can and cannot do in a product.

So why couldn't "I" do a miniatures game (Sorry, us in europe call it a "Tabletop")?

Former Brand Manager of D&D, Ryan Dancey, used the phrase "tabletop" to refer to any pen and paper, card game, or minis game in a study in 1999, hence the confusion.

So why couldn't "I" do a miniatures game?

The only thing stopping you is


1. Reading the OGL carefully to avoid stepping on any legal toes
2. Designing the game
3. Avoiding the words "d20" or "D&D" in any way
4. Raising your own capital or finding a backer


And you're all set!
