It's quiet. Too quiet. And then it isn't. The rapid rustlings of many tiny creatures can be heard from every direction. The chittering begins. Squirrels, their blood-red eyes glinting in the moonlight, bound toward you. You get the feeling you maybe should be scared, but come on. They're squirrels. How dangerous could they be?

Carnivorous flying squirrels is something of a misnomer. They don't actually fly, but their prodigious leaps make it seems as if they can. These little beasts are meat-eaters, and they hunt in packs that attack with wolfish cunning. Small forest dwelling creatures of sufficient intelligence sometimes train carnivorous flying squirrels as pets, guards, and hunting beasts. There is a subterranean species of this creature. It is pale, hairless, and blind. Add the Advanced Creature simple template and blindsight (15 ft.). Remove low-light vision. Increase CR and XP to 1/3 and 135, respectively.
