Message: <blockquote data-quote="howandwhy99" data-source="post: 4387417" data-attributes="member: 3192"><p>256) A young boy and girl stumbled upon the corpse of a dead creature.  Through rumor the story spread until an adult hunted down the body, dug it out from under the bole of a fallen tree, and brought it back into town.  There it caused a bit of a stir as some called the corpse's taking sacriligious, others called the corpse itself evil, but no matter what they called it no one in town could identify the creature.  To resolve the matter, the local smithy burned it and that was that.  Until the rain started to fall.  And the dead started to live.  Corpses rose from the graveyard.  The wooden houses swayed as if alive.  Any item made of unliving tissue found itself moving, lurking, into the night.  Even cloth and thread.  What foulness was this beast?  That's for the PCs to answer.</p></blockquote><p></p>
