Well folks, the "Psionics Handbook Companion" has survived the final editing process, and is now awaiting layout. What this means is that it should be availible to YOU on the 15th of this month!

"What is it?"

Glad you asked :) The "Psionics handbook Companion" is the flagship product of my company, DaemonEye Publishing. It is a book focusing on bringing 3e D&D psionics into it's birthright as a unique type of power, analogous but not identicle to magic. It requires the "Psionics Handbook" to use, and complements that book. While using it you should have no need for erarta, suppliments, or any other material! I've included as many fixes to the "Psionics Handbook" as possible, as well as an unbelievanle amount of totally new material!

If you want a teaser, or to learn more about it, just visit my website at: DaemonEye Publishing

Well, I'm done with layout. I will be spending saturday paging it, indexing, and fixing any minor errors I find along the way. The first of the bite-size files it will eventually become, everything up throu Chapter 1, will become my new teaser on my website. I am currently shooting to release it at midnight on saturday, so download the teaser saturday evening and expect to be amazed!

so far i have mixed reviews on this. i saw the teaser work and felt so so on it based on the stuff i saw. What goodies will you have? is it a revamp of the psionics handbook? is it just a new way to do psionics? new classes? i see races in there but nothing different.

curious minds want to know..

It isn't a new system, but a revision of the standard system. Fixes to 3e psionic's problem areas, plus new skills, feats, abilities, powers, prestige classes, items, monsters, organizations, and spells!

I'm looking forward to this one. I'm very interested to see how the Force Warrior and Grave Mind turn out.

Thanks for the update.

SRD problem alert

I've noticed you're using the name "illithid" and that name is PI of WotC. In the SRD, both the normal creature and psionic creature entries, you'll notice that "illithid" is purposely removed and always replaced with "mind flayer."

Speaking of which, I was wondering about having 'Psionics Handbook' in the title. . .

Hmm.....thanks for the warning about "Illithid", although as a update of the Monster Manual creature, the name can be used. It violates the d20 licensing agreement to claim it for my own, which I'm obviously NOT doing ;)

As far as "Psionics Handbook Companion" goes, I've been posting the title to the WotC psionics board for months now, and the moderators have let it be. Again, I'm not claiming that this is a "new" PsiHB, just that its an update (and will, if anything, help boost thier sales). THese are the same moderators that dish out public warnings with impunity whenever anybody starts to go over the d20 license line, so I think I'm safe.

In either case, fair use laws apply. Fair use states that because I am not trying to lay claim to, or reprint, thier material that they cannot do squat about it. This law also states that references to thier material for substance ARE a iolation of thier copyright, but that is EXACTLY what the d20 license allows people to do. So again, I think I'm safe.

Well, back to work!
