All of the SRD links lead me here;
http://www.wizards.com/D20/article.asp?x=srd

And I don't see Psionics anywhere.

Really? All the way at the bottom of this page:

http://www.opengamingfoundation.org/srd.html

You don't see the psionics stuff? Weird... the individual links are:

http://www.opengamingfoundation.org/srd/psionicclassesSRD.rtf
http://www.opengamingfoundation.org/srd/psionicpowerssrd.rtf
http://www.opengamingfoundation.org/srd/PSIONICCOMBATSRD.rtf
http://www.opengamingfoundation.org/srd/PsionicSkillsandFeatsSRD.rtf
http://www.opengamingfoundation.org/srd/psioniccreaturesSRD.rtf
http://www.opengamingfoundation.org/srd/psionicitemsSRD.rtf

It seems to ask for a username and password, but if you just hit cancel they still come up, I have no idea what's up with that...

I was looking on WoC SRD page, not that one.

Strange that Psionics isn't listed on their SRD page.

As mentioned ealier in this thread, only the released sections of the SRD are on the Wizards site. The unreleased sections (which we can use under the gentlepersons agreement), are hosted at the Open Gaming Foundation.

Not strange at all. They haven't been officially approved by WotC's legal department, but WotC released a version anyway so that third party companies could use the psionics rules in the meantime anyway (the gentleperson's agreement).

But WotC is just so evil, just like T$R, aren't they?

The starting packages match? I hadn't realized that. Believe it or not, I only opebned the PsiHB long enough to get the format and basic weaponry, I didn't INTEND on actually copying anything!

So I can't even reprint text for editted descriptions, just the raw edit itself? That would make things UNINTELLIGIBLE! Is there a way around this?

I've removed all references to "Illithid", "GIthyanki", and "Githzerai" (althought those last two should REALLY be in!).

I've highlighted in blue all material referenced from WOtC materials, even if altered. Yes, this includes the names of the various items in lists and tables.

Anything else?

You're not listening to what was said. You shouldn't have used teh PsiHB at all. Use what is in the SRD and nothing more beyond what you add yourself. You then check to make sure that you haven't inadvertantly stepped all over anyone else's closed content, including that of WotC. Hell, you can open up the SRD and cut and paste it directly into your manuscript without changing a word (or, conversely, changing everything), but you can't copy it from the PsiHB.

Sometimes one unavoidably finds that something is in the original work but not in the SRD variation, but that's the way things are. You either make up your own rule/what have you to compensate, or leave it up to the player to fill in the gabs with their own resources, depending upon what route the author wishes to take. However, you can't just decide that it SHOULD be OGC because it makes sense to you, and then use it anyway.

You REALLY need to talk to a lawyer about the d20 STL, OGL, and the declaration and use of OGC. Your lack of preparation has produced one of the grossest OGL violations thus far for d20, and it all could have been avoided if you'd asked around for advice.

You also need to start talking to some experienced d20 publishers and writers to find out where you went wrong and what can be done to avoid similar problems in the future; we're rather abundant and most of us are willing to lend advice and answer questions. Even then, keep in mind that the other publishers and writers are themselves capable of making mistakes, so you should have everything they tell you double and tripple checked before you publish.

What was changed?

This came in e-mail:

"Due to the need to revise the product for complianc eot the Open Game License, all purhcasers of the "Psionics Handbook Companion" are now entitled to one free download of the revised version, the "Psionics Companion". Henceforth, this product will be refered to by it's new name. My apologies ofr any confusion or aggravation this has caused."

A quick glance shows that:

Starting packages haven't changed.
Powers haven't changed.
Still no updated Section 15.
No name change on the cover?

What changed?

I think he also misunderstood how RPGNow works. He uploaded a modified version to the FTP site but then immediatly sent out a notice of the update and new download links. Anyone using them will just get the same version as it wasn't put online right away (I actually don't know if it's on right now as it's in the hands of one of our staff not me).
