Dagon is listed among the demon princes in the first edition Monster Manual II's infamous page 35. Thus, into Dungeon he went.

Hey, Azazel is there too. "Ti-i-i-ime is on my side. Yes it is!"

I haven't looked at the MM II in a long while. I almost forgot about that page.

P.44 has all the names of powerful devils, including Arioch. But I thought he was chaotic. That crazy, Arioch, you just never know what he's gonna do next.

Hey hey hey now, Dagon was a good movie.
Yeah, I put Dagon in the solid fun movie category. Reanimator is an indisputable classic (the sequel was OK, though not quite as good). In the Mouth of Madness was actively bad and Dunwich Horror was kind of eh.

Look all I'm saying is Dagon is in Tome of Horrors. All their monsters are OGC. Therefore it would make sense to use them EVEN if they aren't 3.5 converted at the moment.

What? someone dissing ITMOM? I loved that movie.

It would seem so. I thought that Dagon, In The Mouth of Madness, and ReAnimator were the only decent movies to date, but then again, ALL supposedly Lovecraft inspired movies are not on the mark as far as I am concerned. That's my incredibly non-humble opinion. :D

Dagon is referred to in the adventure, but you don't actually meet him. If you'd prefer your characters meet him, the ToH stats are probably a good place to start.

Doh. Thanks for explaining that Erik! I appreciate it. (One of these days I will pick up a copy of Dungeon...)
