Daily powers missing

So in the quick rules given in the Keep on the Shadowfell adventure, the fighter's daily power did not get expended if it missed. I notice this isn't the case in the full PHB. Was it purposely scaled back, or is there a note somewhere mentioning daily powers don't expend on miss or something?

I thought that was a nice feature of that power... maybe it was deemed too powerful, and if so, I'd like to know before I start adding house rules to allow for that... but I might do that anyway and just scale encounters up slightly... just wanted to know.

The power has still the "Reliable" keyword. They just cut the long explanation in every power.

Or rather, never made that description because it's not a premade.

But yeah, powers with the reliable keyword aren't expended on a miss.

That's perfect, thanks! I have only skimmed through the PHB and even less so the DMG and MM so far, gotten enough to be dangerous but missed some things like that. I noticed the Reliable keyword, but never actually went to look up what it meant. Makes sense, though.
