Once devout followers of the gods of the Astral Sea, these poor souls were cursed by Baphomet the Demon Prince of Beasts to become horrid monstrosities known as Cleric Beasts. Blind both physically and spiritually due to a plate infused with demonic energies that is bolted to the upper part of their head, these tormented souls cry out in agony, seeking some sort of comfort from the divine presence they once served or any other being even as their maddening and torturous state causes them to lash out at all who draw near them.
