[Dallas Gameday] Aftermath and Commentary starts on Page 10!

Just wanted to say I had a great time yesterday! Thanks to everyone involved, especially the DMs for Monkey Island (Redshirt lives!) and Nevermore (I knew she was evil!). Thanks to everyone I played with for all the fun, too (except Michelle, she's an evil wench!! ;) ) I hope we do it again soon, I know I'll be there! :)

Just got back... good times.

And Suzi makes some hella good cookies.

Heh, there's a reason I look like I do. :)

Much fun was had by we two, and we'd like to thank all the DMs and Talon Comics for the opportunity!

I wanted to take this moment to thank all of the players for Escape from Zombie Monkey Island. You folks were great and really got into the spirit of the game. Though I was saddened at the death of NPC Redshirt, I was even more amazed that NPC Sissyarm managed to survive - even with his wee arm and his inability to hit anything.

And, of course, it's probably the only game I've played, or will play anytime soon, where the question, "Could we build a raft out of dead monkeys?" made perfect sense.

Thanks -

Sam

ps. Savage Worlds rocks. I know, it's not d20. But it still rocks.

Yep, a good time was seemingly had by all. I enjoyed running my first ever Midnight adventure :D, and the players seemed to have fun as well. It was rejuvinating to see the sense of wonder and excitement the players had at something new, I'm starting to understand a little better why people like Midnight. :)

Anyway, thanks to Derek for organizing the room, Grandy's for the awesome biscuits, and Bud Lite for bringing in the Girls of Maxim (eat that, Chicago Gameday!)

Walker - My bad, a company event came up last minute and I didn't remember to post here. The other guy who didn't show is my fault too as I dragged him with me. Shame, shame on us. :(

Yes, it was a great deal of fun to play a Spryte Magistar in the Arcan Unearthed game and drop a Heightend, Enlarged, Fireburst on the Zombie Giants. Shadoe's Lady and I both look forward to the next Dallas gameday.

I appologize for not giving notice. I got called away at the last minute, and I am very disappointed. I hope that enough fun was had to have another session soon! It looks like a good time was had by all.
Thanks to everyone who organized this, and I am sorry again that I did not make it.

Sinistar: We missed you at the T20 game. You could have been the pilot, and flown a starship! And you missed the two visits to the "gentlemen's club" -- it was crucial to the plot. Honest. :)

I'm just glad I finally made it through a Living Greyhawk module without my character dying or being Wighted. :)

Really, I was on such an endorphin high from the gameday, my two hour drive home just flew by.

It was cool, I had fun and a great time, and your a good DM. This is the first time I have ever gone to a function like this and gamed with total strangers.

Midnight was cool. It would probably have been even cooler if I had picked up the book and read the rules ahead of time, but you did an excellent job of explaining the variant rules and setting on the fly. I had a great time.

Yeah the biscuits were awesome but the eggs lacked something to be desired.

And those Girls of Maxim where totally hot, that was the bonus of the entire game day.
