Damage Increase by Advancing Monster

Hi, all!

I'm currently changing statistics for a Medium monster that advances to Large size.


First, I'd like to know how a damage value of 2d10 [bite] should be increased to the next damage dice.

As a second question I'd like to know if an increase from 3d6 [claws] to 4d6 would be appropriate?

2d10 changes to 4d8 for a single increase in size.

Yes. 3d6 goes to 4d6 with an increase in size.

A single d6 goes to d8. But 2d6 goes to 3d6. And 3d6 to 4d6. There's a particular line of progression for each particular starting combination, which is why the chart is needed, though it's usually easy to remember.
