Damage Reduction

Apologies if this has come up before. The new damage reduction. Am I right in thinking that a character with damage reduction 10/magic does not have his DR negated by a vrock, whose natural weapons are treated as evil and chaotic? What about the vrock's spore ability? Does this ability bypass the same DR as the creature? Is it of a non-specific type and therefore bypass all DR except barbarian DR? Or does it bypass no DR because it is not type-specific? It's hardly an energy attack, so it must fit somewhere in the scheme of things...

Any thoughts?

If the vrocks natural weapons are considered Evil and Chaotic then they will not penetrate DR/magic.

The spore attack would ignore all DR though; AFAICS DR applies to attacks by weapons (natural or otherwise) and this isn't that kind of attack. It isn't just energy attacks which bypass DR.

what about falling damage? Or damage from, say, being buffeted when you've been swallowed by something?

You're reading it as just weapons?

Faling damage is non-magical bludgeoning, so would be buffeting... swallowing whole uses the grappling rules if I'm not mistaken...
