I got fired last Friday. I wasn't given a reason. They don't have to because I was on a probationary agreement that allowed them to do so until my six month aniversary, which would have been monday. I suspect they're firing for medical reasons but just won't say it. There was no warning.

Now, I'm job hunting and everything seems to be in Houston or Dallas, which are a few hours drive from where I live in San Antonio. That means it's more than likely that I'll have to give up my gaming group in order to get work.

I hate this. It's really depressing.

In Dallas try: http://www.dfwjobspot.com

I've never tried them, but they advertise a lot around here. If I find anymore places, I'll post them here. Good luck, and sorry to here about how they're screwing you over. That sucks.

That's tough man. Especially when they won't even give a warning or explanation. Just think of if this way, you are free to explore better opportunities. And naturaily you will find a something better, just keep the faith in yourself and your abilities.

Don't give them the satisfaction!!!!!

Make a appointment with the personel office where you were working to review your personel file! Make copies of any information that you believe is untrue and wrong,( like their supposed reason for letting you go!) Then Raise a stink!!!! I'm positive that you are allowed to review this file! Don't let them tell you otherwise, and don't take NO for an answer!!!! You may not have been what they may consider "the perfect canidate" , But you still have rights , They should at least have a viable reason and not one of those, " Well my sister-in-laws kid needed a job " type of thing!! Good luck, Let me know how it goes... FIGHT THE POWER!!!!

Well, being in Texas they don't have to have a reason to fire you.

You'll get a better job, and there are PLENTY of gamers in Houston and Dallas (I have gamer friends in Dallas, and I'm in Houston).

I know how you feel. On May 15th I went to work, got there before 9am and was back home before 10:30 am. I was let go due to "economic reasons" or some such crap. The only good thing is that security wasn't waiting to escort me out of the building (as is s.o.p.). They were nice enough to spare me that humiliation anyhow. No warning. No nuttin'.

My sympathies and good luck! And you may look back oneday and realize they did you a favor.
