Dangerous Delves Preview 6

I love that mule goblin mini!

And I'll leave you with that beloved belly-dancing god, Shak... er, Vecna!

The goblins and the clay golem look good. The troll... has a goofy grin, but that's easily corrected, I just don't really like the armour plates.

The aspect of Vecna is just plain weird. And belly-dancing was my first impression as well, between colours and pose.

Cheers, LT.

Er... those were the best minis they could pick to preview? Not a single one of them makes me want to go out and buy the new set. In fact, they make me want to avoid it like the plague. The only one I like at all is the goblin delver, and I have trouble imagining a scenario where I'd actually use that guy in a game. (He'd make a great comic NPC, but comic NPCs don't generally participate in battle.)

I do appreciate the shout-out to Disney's "Aladdin," though. I always wanted to know what the bastard love-child of Jasmine, the Genie, and Jafar would look like.

The Aspect of Vecna looks awful. It does not look like any previous description of Vecna from Greyhawk or Ravenloft I recall.

Anyone know what it was based on? Was Vecna's 4e description in Open Grave that bad and so at variance with what had gone before?

Here's Vecna from the Open Grave art gallery:
