Sure, or talk his damn fool self to death without making a single roll, depending on what kind of day he's having. But there is something hilarious about the idea that just playing Cudgel the Clever gives you the meta-game ability to say "what? no, you can't see my character sheet! But I totally have one and it's fair.".
Seriously, I'd guess he's somethin' like a CN (although you could also make arguments for Cudgel being the embodiment of Neutral Greedy) Human Rogue 4 with above average physical stats, good Charisma and Int, a very, very bad Wisdom score, and all of the Flaws, just like ALL of them lol. Anyone agree, disagree? Esp. on level/tier.
Oh, and I should dutifully remind everyone that Pelgrane press actually made a Dying Earth RPG in the early 2000s. My initial impression of it was that it was very, very good at being what it was.
I have never read a Gord The Rogue story or indeed any of Gygax's fiction. Is Gord at all similar to Cudgel?
