[Dark Quest Games] Death Movie

Scarogoth

What do other people have?
Dear All,

Because the Moon Elves movie met with some approval, I though I'd do a version for Death: Guardian of the Gate as well, and so here it is:

A mournful lament for the Lady Pale...

[Two versions, one with higher definition music that's all -- but even so, they're both quite big, I'm afraid... sadly I don't do vector art... :D]

Wow... very nice movie yet again. :)

Two things:

How is your server? I'm on broadband and it took forever for the bigger movie to load, when I'm used to movies that are more than a couple megs in size to literally take seconds.

Can I get an audio file of this movie this time around?

:D

We want to be sure to thank Duncan especially much for this one. I hope he enjoyed making it as much as we enjoy viewing it.

As for load time. On a T3 connection it took 16 seconds to load the high end version completely, although it was already starting to play bits of it around 12 seconds.

You might want to try loading it again, there might just have been some issue at the time when you tried it.

Thanks.

Thanks, chaps -- I'm glad to hear you like it.

I've got an awful feeling that you were downloading it at the same time I was uploading the file, Khan! That's probably why it was a little slow -- I was a little premature in my announcement, for as Morrus kindly pointed out it linked at the end to a website address that will probably be taken off-air in about 24 hours! As if in penance perhaps you'll gain a little frisson of Schadenfreude as I am reliably informed that my own broadband cable service is off the air for 8 hours, and I'm having to do this by modem -- how the rest of the world copes is beyond me. :(

As to the music, I'm sorry but yet again I composed it quite specifically for the file, so I'm afraid it is precisely timed to the actual movie; there is no more than what you hear, and the high-res flash version is 128 bit encoded MP3 file anyway!

My next project (but don't hold your breath!) will be the Four Colours to Fantasy, and for that I'm proposing to do a sort of John Williams-inspired type of thing -- I'll make sure to do a full five minute version of the theme for you, Khan! Thanks for the support,

Best Wishes, :-Dunx.
