A little off-topic:

A little time ago I was thought about the Dead Lands in the time when that disaster happened. How would be the impact in the "Feywild/Land within Wind"?

What if not all the souls of the dead sentient beings in Athas become undead ghosts but anything as "elemental(touched) spirits"? My opinion is we need an option to avoid a saturation of undead.
