[Darkfuries] Masterwork Maps: Inns & Taverns at Printer

Brian K. Moseley

First Post
The first printed Darkfuries Sourcebook, Masterwork Maps: Inns and Taverns is now at the printer, and will be shipping to retailers in early June.

For all the enthusiasts who've supported Darkfuries over the past 18 months, you'll be happy to know we've listened to your emails. We've built this product based upon what consumers say they want in an accessory.

Masterwork Maps: Inns and Taverns includes 35 establishments showcased in 71 grayscale floor plans, all complete with descriptions, background information, and 47 fully detailed d20 System (tm) ostlers and patrons. It also contains genuine medieval menus and recipes, and every establishment has a complete table of specific structure and furnishings d20 System (tm) game stats for easy reference.

More product information is available here.

This should be another fun product then. Another one like Necromancer's Book of Taverns that's easy to use for almost any campaign.

Perhaps you should talk to the people at some of the non-d20 campaigns and try to get awareness of the product's all purpose utility out? I know for games like Rolemaster this would be handy to have.

Thanks very much, Joe. We opted for a large number of establishments that have unlimited reusability for the Game Master.

Your thoughts for compatability with other game systems are well taken. We're now working on our next printed product, but are also creating full scale, full color floor plans that are useful in any number of game systems.

I'd try to get awareness of this product to:

GURPS fans: The fantasy line is one of the more popular.
Hero fans: Ditto
Warhammer FRPG
Rolemaster (already mentioned)
Talislanta (Odd setting but still have b&t)

Can we preorder it?

Hi Anna,

The short answer is soon!

The distributors are tallying retailer presales now, and I received the first distributor order on Friday. I expect to have the books back from the printer at the end of the month.

Part of the reason behind our website move two weeks ago was to facilitate the setup of our online store. We're getting the expanded store and secure server established to accept credit card purchases, and expect to have it working within the next week. Once that's done, we'll list Inns and Taverns for purchase.

Hoopy! I love be able to preorder books. Then I don't have to worry about trying to find them at the gaming stores (which usually only carry Wizards and White Wolf stuff).
