What other reviews are there online? I'd like to read them...
Not much online, actually. The latest thing is a 'review' of sorts in the new Time magazine.

There's going to be a deluge after the 5th, though, as that's that day of the major press screening, I believe.

Never had much hope for it to begin with.

Will see it and judge it on it's own merits.

Star Wars was cool for me when I first saw it, and I've enjoyed a number of graphic novels and books, but I'd hardly say I'm exicted to see it. Will probalby go catch it on a weekday a few weeks after it opens to avoid the crowds and die hard fans.

After watching The Phantom Menace, I didn't even bother to go see Attack of the Clones (and I had to check the top post to make sure that is even the name of the second prequel...).

But, the trailer kind of sold the new one for me.

So, here I am, all excited. Despite my misgivings.

It can't live up to my memories of seeing the original one at the drive-in in 1977. Or my excitement at hearing there would be a second, and third...

However, I now have hope.

Let us not forget Clone Wars, two very fine hours of animation that prepped the story in a very enjoyable way (and IMHO, were better than Ep I and II).

Oh, and the action in Ep. II totally underwhelmed me, from Obi-Wan vs. Jango to Mace vs. Jango (talk about a letdown) to Everyone vs. Dooku.

It was the Kevin Smith reviews that did it for me - that, and the usual tradition my friends have of going to see big movies like this in a group.

I'm going with a group of friends to the midnight showing. :D

I didn't promise myself not to get hyped up about it, but I promised myself to remain spoiler-free, pretty much like I did with Attack of the Clones. Unfortunately, the lure of the Dark Side is strong.

Oh well, we all know how it ends anyway. It's the journey that counts in this movie.

JediSoth

Wouldn't you be better as Soth of the Sith? :]

I'm deliberately not going on the opening day because I'm annoyed by some things done in the first two prequels. I have hopes this will be better because it will have Darth Vader and that will be cool.

I read the book the day it came out. Anticipation went from nearly nil to through the freakin roof! Please, oh please, let the movie be half as good as the book make it to be and I will be a happy, happy man.

I'm not gonna read the book until I see the movie. I don't want to be ruined before I go see it.
