"VOmiting Monsters" vs. "Muscular Action"?

TOuch call. 8P
Eh, why? We vomit because our stomach senses that something in it is bad for it, hence it wants to get rid of it. Stomach-slicing adventurer falls into the same category, IMHO. Sounds pretty natural. Especially, if you consider that most beasties with 'swallow whole' are usually not really geniuses and act more or less instinctively.

"Vomit up" is how I've always described the "cutting their way out." One of the "famous moments" from our group is a Half-dragon monk who was swallowed by a Purple Worm. In two rounds, he did over half of the Worm's hit points in damage from the inside, though taking a fair amount in return. Worm barfs him up, and the monk's first word was, "MEDIC!!!" ;)

"Chaotic" magic certainly seems to be a running theme in these reports. It's nice to see that they appear to be taking steps to make some magic a little bit more dangerous/unreliable.

The battle that ensued was a knock-down, drag-out affair. I’m guessing at least 20 rounds, but I’m not totally sure.

I like the sound of this :D I definitely wish for longer combats in terms of PC's time, but possibly using the same players' time or even less.

Totally overlooked that. But I want this as well! Give me less "Huh? That epic 2 hour battle was only 30 seconds in-game" and more epic battle in these 2 hours.

Cheers, LT.
