Daylight Savings Time - Spring Ahead

I was wondering why the computer and wall clock didn't agree.
Yeah aren't these computer and VCR's that do the change automatically great! I have an old 386 machine that the kids use that I still have to change the time on myself.

Daylight savings time is incredibly lame. I don't why we don't just get rid of it altogether. It's a holdover from times past when everone needed extra daylight to work in the fields. Now it's just an annoyance.

Actually, my understaning is that farmers hate daylight savings time, as plants and animals don't magically adjust things to clocks.

Time is a concept created in hell: You never have enough of it, you are always running out of it, you find you want more of it, and someone is always screwing with it. :D

lol, I like that, I may have to use that sometime

Yeah, I believe it was brought back during the Carter administration as an energy conservation scheme. Less night hours mean less electricity being used for lights. However, it seems to me that whatever's being saved in light usage is being consumed by having to run air conditioners longer in the summer months.

I say we all move to Arizona.

Spring, damn it! Spring!
I know what you mean, I spent the last 200 miles of my drive home last night/this morning in a snowstorm. Yay, spring! At least when the car got loose and came around, it didn't end up in the median ditch. I just had to clear out all the snow that had jammed underneath it and I was good to get back on the road. And I lost more than an hour of sleep. I think I got about two or three hours of sleep between all the different rest area stops I made on the way home.
