DDEX3-3 Legal for Home Play

I am going under the assumption that Dragon+ will release one Expedition/issue for home play (it allows them to double-dip on the adventures, as they don't have to pay people to write adventures specifically for Dragon+).

I like this. I hope to see more modules going forward being opened up for home-play legal status.

I would expect it to continue but you should not assume there will be one in every issue, and you should assume that the entire season will not be released that way. That makes it a bit of tease. Oh you played half the season? Well, you'll have to get involved in the AL and your store or con if you want to see how it ends.

Well, that may be, but IMHO that would still make it better than the current alternative, which is "Well, you'll have to get involved in the AL and your store or con if you want to see how it starts, or continues, or ends."

But regardless, as mentioned, I appreciate these being opened up like this, and hope to see more of these in the future... every one opened up for Home Play is just one more opportunity for folks to be able to play more.

Grateful for these releases -- was able to run a session of DDEX 3-2 for a housewarming party and it was warmly received!

Well if they keep giving out Expeditions each month, maybe HQ will get the greenlight to increase the number of adventures per season to keep up with the growing AL tiers*. While this was the next sequential release of the season, it's also the first T2 adventure for home groups who started with the Starter Set. As more Expeditions get released for home play, expect the growth rate of home AL characters to catch up with FLGS players.

*Skerrit, I know that Season 4 is already in the can, but a guy can hold out hope for a better split of adventures by tier each month for Season 5. T1 is the hardest tier to schedule because of reruns forced by a lack of new content, combined with the revolving door of players in a FLGS AL setting. Just give me one T1 adventure each month so I always have something new in case a rerun isn't feasible. That's all I want for Christmas, Skerrit Claus... ;)

I really love that they are giving out these adventures. I am planning on using them at home when there aren't enough players available to run our normal campaign, so that we can still play D&D but not advance PotA for the folks that have to work or whatever.
